WC 2014 20:00 Uruguay VS England

Biggest stakes at Betfair today are once again on England With 1,6M€ on their victory over Uruguay (once again as England trusted at Betfair for each their games, probably due to the big amount of Uk guys among Betfair customers). In European bookmakers it is also moving down but a more shy size as it is about 0.06 pts down only.  The interesting trend is how England was settled earlier when odds opened before WC and especially before their 1st match and the 1st game of Uruguay. England was +0.25 AH now -0.50!

This after a quite interesting game where they lost to Italy 1-2 but showed much more than we could think from them despite Rooney being still goalless… In other hand, Uruguay disappointed so big in their opening game by losing from 1-0 lead to 1-3 in the end vs Costa Rica. They...

WC 2014 17:00  Australia VS Netherlands

This one is truly the most staked game at Betfair today ! Almost 4M€ and 3,8M€ are on Away team. Yes very logical to “like” the probability to see Oranje winning this one after their stunning win against Spain. Asia and Europe first slashed a bit of course after the win over Spain but now stable and even rising again last hours, just a readjustment of the probable over reaction right after the win over Spain.

Well Australia surprised me a bit by a better quality overall and more offensive display, more ideas that what I could see from them all the year during. Here the problem is that Holland will have far more individual skilled dribbling guys that Chile but also won’t take them “too easy” as Chile did in the first game by allowing to take the ball in charge...

17th June. Market Moves of the Day

WC 2014 23:00 Russia VS South Korea

Biggest moves overall today with average 0.17 ps down in European bookmakers when Asian bookmakers moved down average of 0.10 pts last hours when opening odds were even like 0.40 pts higher on Russia or so! 1,1M€ wagered at Betfair on Belgium to win tonight (which is the second biggest stake behind Belgium).

Russia under Capello is rather more solid in defense a expected but still a bit short in front. Despite scoring often goals and no loss recorded since a very long time (10+ games), they also rarely played solid or let say serious level opponents in these all games undefeated. Russia expected by people to beat the big down in quality Koreans there and they should yes, price is now hardly worth a shot but Live it could be if Russia is showing what we expect from them.

South Korea is the the past team...

16th June. Market Moves of the Day

WC 2014 17:00 Germany VS Portugal

Biggest stakes today at Betfair are on the big game of the Day between Gernamy and Portugal . This is the first game for the group for and is the biggest game of the group between the top two first favorites of the group. Cristiano meet injuries problem but he will be ready to start the game.

We have seen the market move to Germany from 2.12 to 1.95 and bettors support a good start for the Germany. In betfair we can see about 3 millions on German while the total match are at 3.8 millions.

14th June. Market Moves of the Day

WC 2014 20:00  Uruguay VS Costa Rica

Biggest stakes today at Betfair are on this game (on home to win). 1,3M€ on Uruguay. Asia as quite high AH to settle on -1.25 for an opening game in WC. Home price went up on Home in Asian bookmakers which can allow a quite strange 2.00 line on total goals. No idea why 1.67 on Over 2.00 at SBO would not be worth a shot now!

Uruguay short of Suarez here is still huge favorite and should win this one. Straight win can be taken in some double or combo but Over 2.00 as Costa Rica style of play favor the idea that they could even score here. Hard to see only 0-1 goals here so rather safer bet on Over 2.00 in your tickets likely.

WC 2014 19:00 Spain VS Netherlands

TOP today money staked on this game at Betfair ! 1,2M€ on Spain.

Well let say that yes in the end based on what they are doing, Spain should take this one in the end but we don’t feel value on Home good enough to tell you to follow the flow.  This game looking more as one usual Spain tactical possession of the ball and Netherlands relying mostly on their offensive individualities to try to kill on counter or free kick etc.

Spain concede few goals, they are also quite possession ball based but score a lower amount of goal. This one is likely going to be tense and nervous, closed one excepted if an early goal opens it.  Over is the market where people are pushing with almost 0.20 pts down average on O/U 2.00 so sooner or later close to kick off we could get a slight better value...
